Today,
the World Trade Center came burning down
by the acts of cowards
flying passenger planes and people
to their deaths,
instead of home
I remember
walking downtown
down Minneapolis streets
and things were changed
there was a quiet hustling
few spoke
and those who did
did so in whispers
even cell phones and traffic
seemed silent and slower
One thing
I'll always remember
about that day
is that everyone, everywhere
was constantly looking up at the sky
waiting,
wondering
